The story of the decision to buy a kayak and the first experience on the Nidelv River.
There was a so-called supercell over Norway this summer. A very long period of stay with sun every day and temperatures up to 30. The forest only got drier and drier and many more forest fires than usual flared up. In the Norwegian context, this is not common.
Nothing is better than ending a great summer with a canoe trip in an unknown place.
Do not underestimated that you can have great nature experiences in your own local area as well. This trip is proof of that
Norway's national day is a special day for many Norwegians. The birthday of our country is celebrated with flags, marching band, ice cream, hotdogs and ......... kayak ???
You can`t come any closer to the Swedish borden in a kayak than here at Brudesløret in Meråker.
Femundsmarka has a special ring to it. We believe that those who have had walks in this national wilderness will always be left with good and wonderful memories. We are going to paddle through this primeval forest
and can not ask for a better day to do it.
The Nidelv River flows through Trondheim and now it's time to see our city from the water perspective.
4 people and a poodle were on a trip in The Femund National Park to paddle the timber waterways. Here are 4 different experiences of that trip.
We are on summer vacation in Kragerø. Toke is a large inviting water
which we have been looking forward to dipping the paddle oars in for a long time.
Together with brother / brother-in-law we went on a paddle trip in Hullvann. There is nothing boring about paddling here as it`s always an island to round or narrow passages to float through.
A short - traveled paddletrip to three of the waters at Bymarka (the city forrest)
The Øyang lake at Agdenes was so nice that we went there two times in just a couple of weeks. To go here comes highly recommended.
Even with attacks from seagulls, the padlletrip on Stikkilen was worth writing home about.
A canoe is going to be launch and the Håelva river became the place to it`s baptized.
Not far from Trondheim is Lake Draksten. This is an exciting area to explore. Here you can enjoy the water for hours and if you really want you can set up the tent or hang up hammocks and spend the night on one of the many islands.
This story describes our trip from Røros to Røstfossen. The river have som rapids which are perfectly safe to paddle if you have some experience with rivers. We solved it so that one paddled both kayaks while the other one walked.
